Some birdie pictures...out my window, and otherwise.

Not the best capture here but I wanted to document Sonny's sometimes-favorite sleeping spot. Right on this chain! I wonder if this is bad for her feet. She sure looks adorable and it was quite a surprise the first time I found her this way.
I know it's just a blink but he sure looks like he's laughing here. Soooo cute! My angel. Note the blue spot on his head. Bird safe colored wicker. Why do they bleed color?
There's a pond nearby and a lot of these beauties there. And lots of ducks. Loved visiting there. Hope to again soon.In the meantime, I have lots of pictures :)
Angel in the sun. He looks a bit cheeky here, like he's having a little laugh. Cuuuute! (He, she. I can't make up my mind. I think Angel is a he and Sonny is a she. These days anyway)
Why birds? Well, they're beautiful for one thing. My love of birds has evolved over time.
It started out as a temporary, safe, no-commitment transition from losing a pet, and not feeling ready to have another, to a long-term bird watching & bird feeding habit.
It's addicting. It's also work, and expense. But it's worth it to see some of these wild birds in my backyard (and anywhere else I can spot them). They're "company" and I enjoy their presence, their freedom, and their beauty.
Loving wild birds has led me to wanting a bird (or two) as a pet so now I also have pet parakeets.
They're the easiest to photograph since they're right here :) (and so cute) so they'll likely be featured here the most.
